Assistant Administration Manager (Project Management) (23240801)
The School is seeking a responsible, organised and focused professional to join the Campus Administration Team amidst the growing demand on campus development. Being the only technical member of the General Administration Section, the appointee will take up the role in managing and supervising construction projects as well as the Alterations and Additions works for the School. The appointee will work with the appointed Facilities Management Agent who is leading a team of frontline staff and managing contractors to perform the operation and maintenance of building services and fitting-out project on the Shek Mun Campus.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake and coordinate administrative tasks/operations associated with campus planning/development and campus services/facilities management, including taking a leading role to organise meetings with all affected parties;
• Oversee building services fitting-out works, upgrading and improvement works;
• Manage and supervise construction projects in Alternations and Additions works;
• Liaise with end users, government bodies, consultants, contractors and suppliers;
• Prepare budget estimation and specifications, working drawings, tender documents and other project-control documents;
• Supervise and monitor the work of consultants/contractors so as to deliver the projects according to the required timelines and qualities;
• Prepare project programme, progress report and project correspondence; and
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• A recognised degree in Surveying/Building Studies/Mechanical/Building Services or related disciplines with at least eight years of relevant experience, preferably in a sizable organisation or Government-funded tertiary institution/organisation;
• Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Building Surveying discipline) or equivalent;
• Familiar with statutory requirements and Codes of Practices;
• Excellent knowledge of building services engineering and associated work experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance;
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, good organisational and problem solving skills, and proficiency in computer applications, including AutoCAD are required; and
• Pleasant, service-orientated, responsible, self-motivated, able to work collaboratively, independently and under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The appointment will be offered on a non-renewable contract of two years.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
