Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our RB (Remittance and Banking) team with a focus on mainframe systems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in project management, system development, and ensuring the seamless operation of our mainframe applications. If you have a background in the Banking/Finance industry, particularly in Remittance or SWIFT payment applications, and possess strong leadership and technical skills in IBM mainframe technologies, we encourage you to apply.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform project management functions to oversee and manage the constraints (scope, schedule, resources, cost, and quality) of individual projects, ensuring compliance with departmental and project management standards and procedures.
Manage the development and maintenance of mainframe systems, including applications related to Remittance and SWIFT payments.
Provide assistance in the evaluation of software and hardware solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mainframe systems.
Lead and mentor team members, fostering their development and growth within the organization.
Manage and monitor the development for Outward Remittance, Retail Foreign Exchange, and G/L accounting posting processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in system development in the Banking/Finance industry, with specific expertise in Remittance or SWIFT payment applications, and knowledge of message formats such as MT103 and MT202.
Exposure to large-scale project development and expertise in the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proficiency in IBM mainframe technologies, including z/OS, COBOL, CICS COBOL, and DB2.
Knowledge of Alnova system is in advantage
Strong leadership, project management, interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, mature, and independent with excellent decision-making abilities.
Fluent in spoken Cantonese, with a good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage.
