The Position
Title: Systems Analyst, Information Technology -SA
Report to: Senior Systems Analyst, IT
Location: Hong Kong
The job holder of this role shall be strong in analytical and logical skills; s/he shall possess strong technical knowhow in full-cycle IT project; so to involve him/herself in end-to-end project delivery. The successful candidate for this highly competent technical role is expected to actively contribute to and fulfill projects delivery needs and cross-team activities; and will team with different operating and departmental entities from time to time in Hong Kong on project and IT solution delivery.
Major Operational Duties & Responsibilities
To take part in all phases of computer projects including feasibility study, systems analysis and design, procurement and installation of computer systems, programming, implementation, system nursing and maintenance.
To analyze, design and specify program components of computer systems.
To prepare and conduct system testing and user acceptance.
To produce project reports and specifications.
To devise system and installation standards.
To devise and maintain operating procedures in line with these standards.
To monitor and report system usage and to recommend and control the allocation of computer resources.
To develop housekeeping jobs for security control, job accounting system and data backup, and media management purposes.
To monitor the performance of his subordinates.
Education Qualifications
At least 2 years relevant post-qualification experience (*) in computing field; and
Bachelor Degree：
Awarded (*) in Hong Kong, UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia,or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma other than Information Technology, or
Diploma from a Hong Kong or overseas duly registered tertiary education institute, or
Level 3 or above in five subjects, incl.English, in HKDSEE, or overseas equivalent, or
Grade E or above in two subjects in HKALE; and Level 3 or above in other three subjects, including English (Syl. B), in HKCEE, or overseas equivalent.
Position Qualifications
At least 4 years post-qualification information technology experience.
At least 1 years must in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
Proficient in the following fields:
Mobile/wireless technologies
Knowledge management
Collaborative tools, application development/ maintenance using programming languages and various support/development tools/environments such as
JAVA, J2EE, WEBSPHERE, XML, C++, C#, COBOL, NATURAL, SQL, VISUAL BASIC, ORACLE TOOLS, WEB SERVICES, NET OR OSS
Operating system/platforms such as: Windows, UNIX, Linux, MVS, VMWare or Netware.
Preferred Certification
To possess experience and/or obtain relevant certification in:
Project Management.
Systems Development/ Support.
PRINCE, FPA, SSADM, RAD and OOAD.
Fluency in spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua and in written English and Chinese.
