Role Summary
We are seeking a high-potential
Junior Engineer
to act as the primary technical executor for our Technology Strategist. In this role, you will help operationalise our long-term vision for Autonomous Systems and Education.
We are not just looking for a coder; we are looking for a Technical Storyteller.
As a Junior Robotics & AI Engineer, you will serve two critical functions:
The Builder:
You will develop our autonomous racing technology (NVIDIA JetRacer, Isaac Sim).
The Teacher:
You will take what you build and teach it to students.
We need an engineer who is excited to stand in front of a classroom, lead workshops, and mentor students through the complexities of AI and Robotics. We don't expect you to know everything on day one, but we expect strong technical foundations and a relentless hunger to learn.
Key Responsibilities
1. Education & Instruction (Primary Focus)
Direct Teaching:
You will be a lead instructor for our Formula Edge workshops. You must be able to stand in front of a group of students (or a camera) and confidently explain Python logic, Computer Vision, and Linux commands.
Curriculum Design:
You will not just follow a textbook; you will write it. You will create slide decks, lab manuals, and video tutorials that break down complex engineering concepts into fun, digestible lessons.
Mentorship:
During hackathons and race days, you are the technical safety net. You will patiently guide students when their code fails, helping them debug their own logic rather than just fixing it for them.
2. Engineering & R&D (The Foundation)
Platform Mastery:
To teach it, you must master it. You will maintain and upgrade our fleet of
NVIDIA JetRacer
cars, ensuring the hardware and software stack is stable for students to use.
Simulation Development:
Work with the Technology Strategist to build
NVIDIA Isaac Sim
environments. You will create the "virtual playgrounds" where students train their AI models.
Tech Translation:
Your job is to take the "hard stuff" (Reinforcement Learning, ROS2 nodes, Sensor Fusion) and simplify it for a high school audience without losing technical accuracy.

The "Teacher" Mindset
Communication:
You can explain a Convolutional Neural Network to a 15-year-old in plain English.
Patience:
You understand that beginners make mistakes. You don't get frustrated when a student asks the same question twice; you find a new way to explain it.
Empathy:
You remember exactly what it was like to be a beginner.
The Technical Skills
Strong Python:
You write clean, readable code (because students will be reading your code!).
Linux/Command Line:
You are comfortable navigating Ubuntu and can teach others how to do basic file management and execution via the terminal.
Robotics/AI Knowledge:
A degree in Engineering/CS or a strong portfolio of robotics projects. You understand the basics of how sensors, motors, and code interact.
Hardware Basics:
Understanding the connection between code and physical machines (GPIO, sensors, servos).
The "Hunger" Factor (Attitude)
Rapid Learner:
Capable of taking a high-level concept from the Technology Strategist and researching/implementing the basics within a week.
Resilience:
You don't give up when code fails. You dig into logs, forums, and documentation to find the fix.
Communicator:
You can explain technical blockers clearly to management and explain technical concepts simply to students.
Nice-to-Haves (We will teach you these)
Experience with
NVIDIA JetPack
or
Isaac Sim .
Knowledge of
ROS2
(Robot Operating System).
Experience with Machine Learning frameworks (
PyTorch/TensorFlow ).
