Senior Database Administrator (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and support mission-critical database platforms across enterprise banking systems.

This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, integrity, and security of multiple database technologies supporting large-scale financial applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade enterprise database systems.
• Monitor database performance and perform advanced performance tuning and optimization.
• Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Manage database backup, recovery planning, and capacity management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production environments.
• Support application teams with database performance tuning and technical guidance.
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to support modern database platforms and architectures.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should have strong experience across multiple database technologies, including:

Oracle
• Oracle 11g / 12c / 19c
• Oracle RAC
• Oracle Data Guard

Microsoft SQL Server
• SQL Server 2012 – 2019
• AlwaysOn Availability Groups
• Clustering and Replication

Open Source Databases
• PostgreSQL
• MySQL

Preferred Skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Exposure to MongoDB, DB2, or other distributed databases
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, Shell)
• Experience supporting large enterprise or financial systems
