Cloud Architect or Solution Architect

About the client

Our client is a leading technology solutions provider entering a significant growth phase, with a strong emphasis on large-scale technology transformation.
To support this expansion, they are seeking a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect to further strengthen their team

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the department head, you will lead the cloud architecture discipline for government/public sector bids and delivery engagements, covering application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure on public, private, and hybrid cloud.

Own technical cloud tender responses:
interpret tender requirements, build compliance matrices, write cloud solution sections, prepare assumptions/clarifications, and support bid presentations and demos.

You will lead the end-to-end solution and cloud modernization design for public sector opportunities, translating business needs into secure, scalable cloud and application architectures and modernization roadmaps (e.g., legacy-to-cloud, microservices, API enablement, DevSecOps).
Define cloud migration and application modernization strategy and roadmap, including rehost, replatform, refactor/, replace decisions and phased migration waves.

Working with the team, you will ensure all cloud solutions align with government security and compliance requirements and internal governance.

Manage stakeholders across government users, IT teams, vendors, and subcontractors; communicate complex cloud architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
At least 9+ years in IT delivery, including 4+ years in cloud/solution/application architecture roles
Provide strategic leadership on government and public sector tender pursuits (RFI/RFQ/RFP), shaping solution strategy, overseeing technical proposal development, and steering bid workshops and executive presentations
Lead complex cloud and application modernization agendas, defining target architectures and roadmaps for legacy refactoring, cloud platform migration, API-led transformation, and DevSecOps adoption across enterprise environments
Strong understanding of modern cloud architectures (multi-cloud and hybrid, microservices, event-driven integration) and enterprise integration patterns
Cloud architect certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Architect) and/or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF)
Experience with government security/compliance frameworks, tender scoring models, and bid governance in Hong Kong or similar jurisdictions
Experience with large-scale cloud and application modernization projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
