Data Privacy Officer

Exciting opportunity for candidates with an interest in Data Privacy matters to join a top tier UK law firm. The role will include:
• Ensuring the firms compliance to privacy laws and regulations
• Provide regulatory compliance advice on data privacy regulations including applicable obligations on new business initiatives or change in processing activity
• Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders on any new or changes to privacy laws and requirements and provide support in the implementation of necessary compliance measures
• Collaborate with the IT and security departments to develop robust processes for handling data access requests

Requirements
• Academic degree ideally in law
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English and Chinese
• Keen interest in data privacy
• Prior experience in a data privacy role is strongly preferred
• Privacy relevant certification, for example by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) an advantage
