We are working closely with a well-capitalised industrial investment platform and innovation ecosystem operating across Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong, collectively known as the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) refers to the integrated economic and innovation region comprising Hong Kong, Macao, and key cities in Guangdong Province, and is one of the most open, dynamic, and innovation-driven regions in China.

This opportunity is designed for senior researchers, principal scientists, and R&D leaders who are interested in translating advanced research into real-world industrial or clinical impact — supported by strong funding, policy-backed programmes, and dedicated local execution teams.

You will not be expected to start from scratch. The platform provides project alignment, funding application support, and operational resources, allowing you to focus on research leadership, technology direction, and strategic impact.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Provide scientific or technical leadership in your area of expertise (e.g. AI, biotechnology, materials, energy, advanced manufacturing, data science, etc.)
• Co-lead or advise on R&D programmes, applied research projects, or technology translation initiatives
• Collaborate with research institutes, industrial partners, and cross-functional teams across the GBA
• Contribute to project scoping, research direction, and milestone definition
• Act as a key scientific or technical authority within the programme

🔹 You will be supported by a local team for administration, funding applications, compliance, and operational execution.

🔹 Ideal Background

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
• A PhD or equivalent research background in STEM, life sciences, engineering, AI, data, or related fields
• Postdoctoral, academic, or industrial R&D experience with demonstrated research or technical leadership
• Experience in leading universities, research institutes, or R&D-driven companies
• A track record in research output, product development, or technology leadership
• An interest in international collaboration and applied innovation

Senior profiles with experience as Principal Investigator, Research Lead, R&D Director, or Technical Founder are especially welcome.

🔹 Location & Mobility
• Initial engagement is fully remote, with no immediate relocation required
• A 12–24 month flexible exploration period is available to understand the GBA ecosystem, align projects, and assess long-term fit
• During this period, candidates are welcome to visit Hong Kong, Macao, and key cities within Guangdong for site visits, meetings, and programme briefings
• Longer-term arrangements may include relocation, hybrid, or project-based models, subject to mutual agreement
• Immigration and talent admission support may be available for eligible candidates (subject to programme criteria)
