IT Wake Limited was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the e-Learning Development Laboratory at the University of Hong Kong. The company was born from the co-founders' work on a reconstruction project in Sichuan, China following the earthquake in 2008, where they developed the innovative e-learning solution, iClass. The mission of IT Wake is to enhance the standard of e-learning environments for schools worldwide through the use of advanced and innovative ICT technologies. IT Wake's flagship product, iClass, is an interactive teaching and learning solution that has been adopted by over 500 schools worldwide, with established resellers in Hong Kong and China. By licensing iClass from the Technology Transfer Office of HKU in 2012, IT Wake is dedicated to contributing to the education industry through cutting-edge technology solutions. In 2019, the company's iClass LMS was acquired by a NASDAQ-listed company. IT Wake is proud to be an alumnus of the Cyberport Incubation Programme and Accelerate Cambridge, as well as a member of AWS EdStart.
