Overview
Join a leading international bankâs Operations Department as Vice President in Corporate Payment Services, taking ownership of highâvalue payment and remittance operations while driving control, efficiency and automation. This role is ideal for an experienced people manager who enjoys leading teams, strengthening risk controls and enhancing processes in a fastâpaced, regulatoryâdriven environment.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Approve and oversee endâtoâend processing of corporate payments and remittances, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to internal policies and control standards.
⢠Monitor daily transaction flows, manage currency and system cutâoff times, oversee pooling and funding operations, and handle volume fluctuations to support smooth settlement.
⢠Manage operational and financial crime risks by spotting and investigating suspicious transactions, escalating potential payment fraud or AML/CFT concerns to the AMLO and relevant stakeholders.
⢠Ensure the accuracy and punctual submission of regulatory, control and financial reports related to payment operations, maintaining strong documentation and audit trails.
⢠Lead system and process enhancement initiatives to improve capacity, straightâthrough processing (STP) ratios and operational resilience, including exploring workflow/automation tools such as Alteryx.
⢠Develop, review and maintain operating procedures, provide technical guidance and customer support to internal and external stakeholders, and coach staff to build a highâperforming, collaborative operations team.
Requirements
⢠Bachelorâs degree or tertiary education, with extensive handsâon experience in remittance or payment operations and at least 5 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
⢠Deep knowledge of corporate payment and remittance processes, including AML/CFT and sanctionsârelated checks and relevant regulatory expectations.
⢠Proven ability to manage operational risk, exercise sound judgement on complex transactions and exceptions, and maintain robust control and governance standards.
⢠Strong interpersonal skills with a customerâfocused, serviceâoriented mindset, able to partner effectively with front office, risk, compliance, technology and external counterparties.
⢠Detailâoriented, mature and improvementâdriven, with a track record of driving process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement in payment operations.
⢠Proficient with payment systems, remittance platforms and MS Office; experience with Alteryx or similar automation tools is an advantage, alongside excellent English communication skills and Mandarin as a plus.
