SAP Basis and Security Operations Expert

About the Role

Nexus Corporation is seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis and Security Operations Expert to join our team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate must be currently based in Hong Kong with a valid permit to work. This is a long-term contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Basis Administration:
- Configure database encryption for MS SQL, HANA, and MaxDB.
- Implement SAP security notes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Manage SAP databases (HANA, Microsoft SQL Server, and MaxDB) and perform regular backups and restores.
- Handle system copies, client copies, and landscape management.

2. SAP Security Administration:
- Understand SAP security roles and authorizations.
- Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure adherence to data security and privacy regulations.

3. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP Basis and Security issues.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of SAP systems.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.

4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, security status, and project progress.
- Ensure documentation is updated with changes and upgrades to the system.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis and Security roles.
- Strong understanding of SAP system components.
- Proficiency in SAP Basis activities such as security note implementation, database encryption, and problem solving.
- Knowledge of Solution Manager, including CHARM, JOB, and IDOC monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, MS SQL, and MaxDB databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP on RISE is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant SAP certifications are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
