Our client is a well established MNC, we are looking for a Paralegal / Data Privacy Compliance talent to join the team, this person is responsible for day-to-day dealings with stakeholders on data privacy compliance related matters as well as supporting Group Risk Management & Compliance department's initiatives.
Responsibility:
• Monitor and research on the latest trends, changes and development of local and global privacy laws and regulations, including their relevance and implications to group’s business activities
• Develop and manage relationships with data privacy regulators worldwide where deemed necessary
• Maintain and update the group’s Data Privacy related policies and guidelines
• Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Processing Agreements, Vendor Risk Assessments, Vendor Contract reviews, and other data privacy/security related contracts and matters
• Promote awareness of data privacy requirements and expectations across the group
• Lead the design and rollout of privacy training to business units across the group
• Track the status of different privacy initiatives with stakeholders and offer privacy related guidance
• Consult and advice on the topics pertaining to privacy compliance, including changes in regulatory landscape, in respect of the group and the affiliated companies
Requirement:
• University graduate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law, or related disciplines
• 2-7 years of experience in data protection and privacy practices
• Sound knowledge with national data protection laws and practices, including an in-depth understanding of PDPO, PIPL, and good knowledge around GDPR and other global regulatory requirements
• Analytical minded, self-motivated, a good team player who is able to work independently
• Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
• Proficient in MS Office
