The Asia Trading Systems Support (TSS) team is a highly-skilled, technical and business-facing team within Instinet spanning across India, Singapore, Australia and its main hub, Hong Kong. The team provides trading technology services to Instinet’s electronic trading, portfolio trading and high-touch sales teams across the region. Collaborating globally with US and EU regions, TSS strives to improve, build and architect Instinet’s trading platform to become the leading example of all execution trading platforms.
Role Description
At Instinet, we put our clients and users of our execution trading platform first. The financial industry is always changing and we need Trading Support Analysts who are passionate about tackling technology and workflow problems that lead to the best customer experience.
In the role, you will gain valuable insight into the trading workflow and operations of our business through hands-on exposure of client onboarding, algorithmic trading support, technical deliveries of the core platform and client-facing support with the traders themselves. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about our high-performance trading technology, the business workflows we support and to be a part of an inclusive, close-knit and success driven team.
You will also work with development, product and business users to deliver stability, control and trading solutions to our core trading platform. You can interpret, diagnose and define problems, apply creativity and critical thinking with a thirst for learning about technology and its application in trading.
Above all, you are a team-player with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas/solutions to your teammates with a passionate drive to follow your curiosity and improve the trading platform.

As a Trading System Analyst at Instinet, you could be working on any number of products and projects on the core trading platform. Key Responsibilities:
• Apply project management and business analysis skills to plan and solve business challenges.
• Understand financial markets, technology, trading applications and the trade lifecycle in depth.
• Stay current with financial and technological trends, regulations and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with regional and global teams as needed across trading, technology, risk and compliance to deliver strategic and client-driven solutions for some of the largest and most prestigious institutional clients in the industry.
• Monitor, analyze and maintain the health of the Instinet core trading platform.
• Hands-on deployment of trading applications preparation, execution and verification.
• Generate reports on system performance and upon business requirements.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Trading System Analyst.
• Proficient in Unix and Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of cash equities market, software and trading lifecycles.
• Familiarity with FIX protocols and full stack development would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and collaboration tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, business analysis and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Strong team player with willingness to teach and learn from others.
