We also have a strong community programme and undertake a wide range of philanthropic activities via our charitable foundation, Rugby For Good. Our Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens tournament is the jewel in the crown of the HSBC SVNS series and a commercial success that contributes significantly to the funding of the wide range of activities that we undertake. From a representative perspective, both our Men’s and Women’s teams have a strong track record in both the 7s and 15s formats of the game.

Job Description
The Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) is seeking a dedicated and professional District Development Manager to oversee and support community coaches in delivering district rugby programs. This role is crucial for promoting and sustaining the growth of rugby within the New Territories West.
Specific Responsibilities
• Program Development and Management: Design, implement, and oversee community programs aimed at promoting rugby across various sectors, including primary schools, secondary schools, NGO groups, and clubs.
• Facilitate Program Delivery: Ensure effective program implementation by consolidating requirements, allocating resources, and maintaining a consistent approach to quality delivery.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and program execution.
• Personal Development: Provide line management and support for the ongoing development of rugby participation leader, officer and community coaches, fostering their growth and effectiveness.
• Enhance Player Retention: Focus on improving player retention rates across primary, secondary, and tertiary education levels.
• Monitor and Evaluate Programs: Track and assess program activities and outcomes to ensure objectives are met.
• Manage Deliverables: Oversee program deliverables to sponsors or founders, ensuring accountability and transparency.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on program performance, stakeholder engagement, and community impact to inform management and stakeholders.
• Brand Consistency: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent brand messaging and delivery.
• Any other ad-hoc project or administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Your profile
• University graduate
• Relevant management and leadership experience in sports management for at least 5 years
• World Rugby Educator Qualification
• Working experience with schools / NGOs is a definite advantage.
• Creative and able to convert ideas to realities.
• Shows strong organizational skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to work with, lead a team.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is option) for both verbal and written content.
• MS office, knowledge with analytics and reporting software and advantage
Salary offered will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
