As a Unreal Engine Programmer , you’ll be at the heart of our technical innovation, translating visionary concepts into reality. You’ll collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to build high-performance, sensor-driven experiences that captivate users and solve real-world problems. This role requires deep technical expertise, a passion for hardware-software integration, and the ability to lead projects from concept to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize immersive experiences using Unreal Engine 5 , leveraging both Blueprint visual scripting and C++ for performance-critical systems.
Integrate and manage data from diverse interactive sensors (e.g., motion capture systems, LiDAR, touch interfaces, IoT devices, or custom hardware) into Unreal Engine environments.
Develop robust Python scripts for automation, pipeline tools, asset management, and cross-platform workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and best practices for sensor-driven projects.
Troubleshoot complex issues across the development stack, ensuring scalability, security, and real-time responsiveness.
Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and champion clean, maintainable code standards.
Stay ahead of industry trends in interactive technology, AR/VR, and sensor-based systems.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine , including expert-level proficiency in Blueprint and C++ (e.g., building plugins, optimizing rendering, or implementing gameplay systems).
Proven experience integrating and processing data from multiple sensor types (e.g., Vicon, OptiTrack, Kinect, Leap Motion, or custom hardware) using protocols like OSC, TCP/IP, MQTT, or serial communication .
Strong Python scripting skills for tool development, automation, and pipeline optimization (e.g., custom editors, build scripts, or data processing).
Experience with version control (Git) , agile methodologies, and collaborative development practices.
Ability to translate abstract design concepts into technical solutions and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
A portfolio or GitHub repository showcasing relevant projects (e.g., sensor-based interactive installations, AR/VR applications, or game prototypes).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AR/VR platforms (Oculus, HTC Vive, Apple Vision Pro, etc.) or physical computing frameworks (ROS, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
Knowledge of real-time rendering techniques , physics simulation, or networking (e.g., replication, networking in UE).
Background in computer vision , machine learning , or data visualization for sensor-driven applications.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), or containerization (Docker).
