Data Science & Analytics Expert
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Science & Analytics Expert to join our team at Sia Partners. As a Data Science & Analytics Expert, you will work on challenging strategic projects with leading banks and financial institutions, identifying, acquiring, processing, and exploring relevant data sources to derive valuable insights from datasets, build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, and communicate at scale through multiple mediums.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, acquire, process, and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured information to discover trends and patterns.
• Use your data analytics and data science expertise to derive valuable insights from datasets, build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Communicate at scale through multiple mediums.
• Contribute to a broad range of projects and deliverables, including models, algorithms, datasets, measurements, services, tools, and processes.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years' experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and/or Data Analyst (ideally in consulting).
• At least a bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant area of study (Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field of study) from a top university.
• Good skills in Python and ideally another analytical language (e.g., R, SQL, Scala).
• Hands-on experience ingesting and processing data, building models, and delivering outputs.
• Problem-solving aptitude and strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a must. Additional proficiency in any other Asian languages would be advantageous.
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience and certifications with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba cloud).
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and infrastructure.
