Data Scientist (hedge fund) - Hong Kong or Shanghai

Have a new headcount available as a "Data Scientist" at a high-growth quant hedge fund. This role is based in Hong Kong or Shanghai. A work visa is provided if needed. I'm looking for those with at least 2.5 - 8 years of working experience.

BUDGET: up to HKD 1.5m total comp

DETAILS:
• Must speak fluent English and Mandarin
• Must be proficient in Python (C++ is a huge plus)
• Must come from quant / systematic side
• Development and maintenance of overseas stock market data (i.e. analyze trading rules, organize market data, perform data quality validation, develop a scalable data parsing codebase to support new markets, data speed optimization etc)
• Support Quant Researcher's needs (i.e. provide data support such as Barra models, develop a unified backtesting framework etc)
• APAC coverage: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India
• Has a good education background
• Ability to dive deep into your subject matter ("talk the talk, walk the walk")
• Ability to clearly convey technical ideas and translate them into clean, robust, efficient code (strong exp in Python)
• SOFT SKILLS: intellectual curiosity, strong sense of ownership, hungry for growth, proactive/takes initiative, changing the status-quo, ideation/creative/provide new ideas, problem solving
