Research Assistant Professor in AI Ethics

Lingnan University is a leading research-intensive liberal arts institution in the digital era. The Hong Kong Catastrophic Risk Centre, a research centre under the Department of Philosophy, is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team as a Research Assistant Professor or Postdoctoral Fellow in the Ethics of AI. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Philosophy (or related disciplines) and a strong record of publications in Philosophy, preferably in leading journals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research and submit papers to top journals in the field of AI ethics.
• Develop and submit grant proposals to various funding bodies.
• Organize seminars, reading groups, workshops, and other related research activities.
• Teach one or two courses per year in the Master of Arts in Artificial Intelligence and the Future programme.
• Supervise students' capstone projects.

Requirements:
• PhD in Philosophy (or related disciplines) by the start of the appointment.
• Strong record of publications in Philosophy, preferably in leading journals.
