Senior Platform Engineer

We're looking for a hands‑on engineer to help build, operate, and continuously improve the AWS‑based data backbone platform. This role blends platform operations with engineering, automation, and orchestration — and gives you the chance to shape how data flows securely and reliably across the enterprise.

What you'll do
• Own operational support (BAU), incident triage, and service requests for data platform components.
• Manage access governance (AD groups, SSO role mapping, provisioning workflows, audit documentation).
• Maintain and improve operational artifacts (runbooks, access matrix, release checklists).
• Engineer and operate AWS data services — especially Glue, S3, and IAM.
• Build automation and CI/CD patterns to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Support migrations and platform enhancements using AWS CLI and scripted automation.
• Troubleshoot and remediate platform issues (permissions, connectivity, performance).
• Act as the single‑threaded owner for platform outcomes, aligning stakeholders across Data, Cloud/Infra, Architecture, and InfoSec.

What we're looking for
• 5+ years in data platform/cloud engineering, CloudOps, or DevOps with production ownership.
• Strong AWS experience: IAM, S3, and Glue (jobs/workflows).
• Experience with automation/CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across cloud networking and service integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have:
Experience with analytics platforms (Athena, Redshift, Trino, Lake Formation), orchestration concepts (DAGs), and access governance models (RBAC, audit/attestation).
