Role Description
This is a part-time/internship role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer Intern will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with software development, including back-end web development, software development, and programming. This is a hybrid role located in Hong Kong SAR, with flexibility for some remote work.
You will have ownership of key components across the full technology stack and support our development team. This role provides exposure to building highly reliable and secure systems that enable intelligent data-driven investing for our users.
We value learning-on-the job and supporting your professional growth as a developer. You will collaborate with industry professionals in designing, developing and taking software projects to production. The position is for 3-6 months and could extend to full-time based on performance.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance back-end components and services
Build responsive front-end features and visualisations
Write performant SQL/NoSQL queries and database schemas
Implement testing, monitoring, debugging and optimisation
Write technical documentation covering architecture, APIs and deployment
Support continuous delivery pipeline and version control discipline
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Proficiency with core languages like Python, JavaScript and Java
Working experience with web stacks, frameworks and cloud platforms
Experience in Linux operating system are preferable
Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and learn rapidly
Be bold in innovation and experimentation
