The Position
Title: Analyst / Programmer, Information Technology - AP
Report to: Systems Analyst, IT
Location: Hong Kong
The job holder of this role shall be strong in analytical and logical skills; s/he shall possess strong technical knowhow in IT design, programming, testing; so to involve him/herself in full-cycle project delivery. The successful candidate for this competent technical role is expected to actively contribute to and fulfill projects delivery needs and cross-team activities; and may team with different operating and departmental entities from time to time in Hong Kong on project and IT solution delivery.
Major Operational Duties & Responsibilities
To write programs and enhance/maintain existing programs.
To conduct program testing, system testing and user acceptance.
To prepare and maintain program documentation.
To prepare job control procedures for trials runs and production runs.
To assist in the system design of computer applications.
To assist in preparing project reports and specifications.
Education Qualifications
At least 2 years relevant post-qualification experience in computing field; and
Bachelor Degree：
Awarded in Hong Kong, UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia,or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma other than Information Technology, or
Diploma from a Hong Kong or overseas duly registered tertiary education institute, or
Level 3 or above in five subjects, incl.English, in HKDSEE, or overseas equivalent, or
Grade E or above in two subjects in HKALE; and Level 3 or above in other three subjects, including English (Syl. B), in HKCEE, or overseas equivalent.
Position Qualifications
At least 3 years post-qualification information technology experience of which at least 1 year must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity. He should be proficient in systems programming or technical support of systems software,
OR
At least 3 years post-qualification information technology experience.
At least 1 years must in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
Proficient in the following fields:
Mobile/wireless technologies.
Knowledge management.
Collaborative tools, application development/ maintenance using programming languages and various support/development tools/environments such as:
JAVA, J2EE, WEBSPHERE, XML, C++, C#, COBOL, NATURAL, SQL, VISUAL BASIC, ORACLE TOOLS, WEB SERVICES, NET OR OSS
Operating system/platforms such as: Windows, UNIX, Linux, MVS, VMWare or Netware.
Fluency in spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua and in written English and Chinese.
