Christian Alliance International School (CAIS), a non-profit making school wholly owned by the Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, is committed to providing a high-quality education empowered by technology. We invite applications for the position of Senior Infrastructure Engineer. This key role will directly impact on the learning experience of our students and the efficiency of our staff by ensuring seamless technology integration and reliable IT support. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer reports directly to the Assistant IT Manager and is a vital member of the ICT team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Work on the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
• System Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability; proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure high uptime and reliability.
• Cloud and Hybrid Environment Management: Manage Microsoft Azure, MS Entra, Active Directory, and Azure AD Connect; implement hybrid identity solutions and ensure seamless integration with on-premises systems.
• Endpoint and Patch Management: Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) /Jamf for centralized device management, software deployment, OS imaging, and automated patch management across Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce infrastructure security best practices, including vulnerability management, patch management, incident response, and regular security audits.
• Project Leadership: Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Vendor and Contract Management: Assist in evaluating, selecting, and managing relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Inventory and Asset Management: Assist in overseeing the lifecycle of IT infrastructure assets, tracking hardware/software licenses, and ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures; support team members on infrastructure best practices.
• Budget and Resource Planning: Assist the Assistant IT Manager in preparing the annual infrastructure budget, track capital and operational expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
• On-Call Support for Critical Incidents: Be available to respond (on-call) to major incidents, P1 outages, or critical system failures outside regular business hours.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience, with experience in a senior or lead engineering role within an educational or enterprise environment (preferred).
• Proven expertise in designing and managing complex IT infrastructures, including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Cisco/H3C networking, and SAN/NAS storage solutions.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure, MS Entra, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD Connect; experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IT security frameworks, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response processes.
• Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Azure Monitor, Zabbix) and automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience assisting infrastructure projects and working with helpdesk ticketing systems for incident escalation.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE: Core Infrastructure, CCNP Enterprise, VCP-DCV, CISSP, ITIL 4 Expert, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
• A commitment to working within a Christian values-based environment is preferred.
