Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business and data requirements
Partner with business and technical teams to design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations
Design, implement, optimize, and maintain ETL data pipelines and automation processes
Develop and monitor data ingestion processes from operational systems (e.g., POS, ERP, HRIS) into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (Oracle/MSSQL)
Create, develop, and deploy BI dashboards and interactive reports that meet business needs
Ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance across all data solutions
Enhance data infrastructure and processes by applying best practices and leveraging the latest technologies
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to strengthen data capabilities
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Engineering or any related disciplines
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in in designing and developing data modeling, infrastructure, and warehousing; 5 years’ experience in the Retail or F&B IT industry is preferred
Strong SQL skills with solid experience in analytics-focused data modeling. (e.g., star schemas, stored procedures, dimensional modeling)
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, Python/shell scripting, Hadoop/Spark, SQL/NoSQL, SSIS, SSRS, and BI tools
Proficient in ETL processes, data cleansing, and data quality management
Experience in preparing data for SSRS, Oracle Analytics, or Power BI
Proven ability to build and maintain production data pipelines and data warehouses
Familiar with Oracle database technologies, including Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), is preferred
Good knowledge of data modeling, database design, warehousing, and cloud data infrastructure.
Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning is an advantage
Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; open-minded and collaborative
Good command of English and Chinese
Willing to travel and support overseas projects
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Data Engineer
