Our clients, a cognitive solutions and cloud platform company are now looking for potential candidate to join their team as Data Engineer.
Responsibilities
Develop new applications using existing data sets to create new products or improve existing services
Maintain existing applications by updating existing code or adding new features to meet new requirements
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, comprising data analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals, to recognize business needs and translate them into practical data engineering solutions
Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data throughout the entire data lifecycle, applying robust database concepts and data modelling expertise
Utilize multiple data technologies to achieve various solution objectives, including data integration, insight visualization, data platform & pipeline build, scientist model integration, GenAI initiative
Flexible role to fulfil different project demand
Requirement
University degree holder or above, preferably in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related disciplines.
At least one years of experience in IT technology, preferably within a consulting environment / with data technology experience and want to change path to data engineer is welcome
Knowledge of of SQL concepts
Has experience Visualization: PowerBI / Qlik / Tableau
Has experience in one or multiple of the followings with advantage:
• Programming languages: node.js / java and Python and Spark are advantage
• Cloud platform such as AWS or Azure using IaC or scripting
• Database / SQL programming
• ETL: Informatica / DataStage / DBT
• Streaming: Kafka / Spark
• DataOps
Experience with software development methodologies and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and work independently and as part of a team
Technology enthusiast with business mindset
Proficiency in both spoken and written in Cantonese and English
atistics, Physics or related disciplines.
