Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications supporting core financial products and workflows.
• Work closely with business users to gather, clarify, and refine requirements, ensuring solutions meet functional and non‑functional needs.
• Implement new features, enhancements, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following best practices and internal standards
• Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design principles, and common Java frameworks (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA).
• Proven experience developing financial applications (e.g., trading, risk, payments, portfolio management, or other capital markets / banking systems)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing SQL queries.
