Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and conducting a broad range of operational, financial, compliance and value-added audits and perform ad hoc reviews or investigations to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, internal control systems and regulatory compliance measures.
• Conduct process walkthrough, employ data analytics techniques, and perform detailed audit testing to identify key risks, evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, and develop practical, value-adding recommendations for mitigating risks and control issues identified.
• Assist in preparing clear and concise internal audit reports, effectively communicate findings to management and tracking management's remediation progress, and performing formal follow-up reviews to ensure t timely implementation of actions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit function by assisting in the design and update of audit programs, methodologies, and data-driven testing templates in line with the Group's strategy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to process owners, providing recommendations that balance risk mitigation with operational efficiency and business objectives.
• Provide guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing to the junior team members. to foster team development and consistency in audit execution.
• Engage in continuous professional and knowledge development of the evolving audit techniques, regulatory changes, industry best practices, and advancements in audit technology and data analytics tools.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CFE or CFA, etc. is highly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in external and/ or internal audit, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm or a sizable multinational corporation (MNC).
• Experience in logistics and transportation industry is an advantage.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of the best practices of corporate governance, risk management, internal control systems and various finance or business operation processes.
• Working knowledge of Hong Kong Listing Rules, HKFRS/ IFRS and relevant key regulatory requirements applicable auditing standards and principles, and control frameworks (COSO, COBIT, etc.)
• Highest level of integrity accompanied by strong ethical principles.
• Demonstrated excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• A self-motivated, proactive professional able to work independently with minimum supervision including initiative to escalate issues with independent judgement.
• Being a strong team player with a sense of ownership and able to work effectively with team members and stakeholders of all levels from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Highly organized, motivated with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, TeamMate Analytics Tool, etc.) and Audit Management Systems (e.g. TeamMate, etc.) to enhance audit efficiency and scope is a significant advantage.
• Strong command of written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese). Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage for regional collaboration.
• Willingness and ability to undertake regional and international travel up to 30% of the time.
• Candidates with less relevant experience or strong professional qualifications will be considered for the Internal Auditor role.
