Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Knowledge Engineer to join our Knowledge Engineering and System Architecture team, focusing on our proprietary rule-based AI system. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the research and development of our Knowledge Engineering and System Architecture processes. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of AI and knowledge engineering, particularly in the context of rule-based systems. Your mission will be to support the ongoing development and refinement of our innovative, rule-based AI-enabled documentation solutions, investigating and resolving technical uncertainties as we work toward advancing the capability of our system to automatically generate user documentation from structured inputs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Content Migration Support: Assist in the transfer of existing documentation to our rule-based AI system, ensuring data integrity and optimizing content for user accessibility and future applicability. Systematically document technical challenges and findings encountered during migration to inform and improve future AI-assisted migration methodologies.
· Content Structuring Assistance: Contribute to the development of content structuring strategies that improve the organisation of our knowledge base, researching and experimenting with semantic frameworks and taxonomy approaches to evaluate their effectiveness in rule-based AI knowledge retrieval and categorisation within our proprietary system.
· Framework Development Support: Help in researching and developing novel approaches for the intelligent, automated assembly of technical documents, identifying technical uncertainties and contributing findings that advance the capability of our system.
· R&D Documentation and Reporting: Maintain structured records of research hypotheses, experiments, technical uncertainties, and findings related to the ongoing development of the rule-based AI knowledge system, supporting the team's R&D activities and reporting requirements.
· Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with technical writers, quality control teams, localization specialists, and designers to promote a unified approach to technical documentation, aligning with organisational standards and user expectations.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
· Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of rule-based AI systems and their role in knowledge engineering and automated documentation systems, with an interest in content structuring and knowledge base development.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to identify, investigate, and address documentation and technical challenges under guidance, aiming to advance system capability and enhance content quality and user experience.
· Technical Familiarity: Exposure to or interest in knowledge representation, ontology, taxonomy design, or natural language processing concepts is an advantage.
· Programming Awareness: Basic familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python) and an understanding of how rule-based logic or structured data is applied in software systems.
· Research Aptitude: Ability to read and synthesise technical documentation, research papers, or system specifications to support ongoing R&D activities.
· Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (writ ten and spoken), with strong technical writing ability to clearly document findings, processes, and system behaviour.
· Team Collaboration: Willingness to learn from and contribute to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
