Junior IT Project Manager

Overview

Our client is a recognizable Insurance company seeking a motivated Junior IT Project Manager to support technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Assist senior project managers in planning and coordinating IT projects, including defining scope, timelines, and resource needs for insurance-related implementations.
• Track project progress using tools like Jira, MS Project, or Agile methods; update status reports and escalate risks or delays promptly.
• Coordinate with IT teams, business users (e.g., underwriting, claims), and vendors to ensure deliverables align with insurance operations and regulatory needs.
• Support project execution: organize meetings, document requirements, manage task assignments, and monitor budgets for small-to-medium initiatives.
• Contribute to project closure: conduct testing, user training, and handover documentation for go-live.
Required Skills and Experience
• 1-3 years in IT project coordination or support roles; familiarity with insurance tech (e.g., policy admin, claims systems) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
• Understanding of IT concepts like software implementation, cloud migration, or network upgrades in a business context.
• Positive attitude, takes direction well, and reliable under pressure.
• Handles tight project timelines and delivers results consistently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
