About The Role
As a SEO Specialist for the Hong Kong market, this position's core purpose is to drive sustainable growth in organic traffic, order volume, and brand authority through the development and execution of comprehensive SEO and content strategies. This role will closely collaborate with the Growth Team at headquarters and will be fully responsible for the business return on investment (ROI).
Key Responsibilities
• SEO Content Production & Scalability
Responsible for producing and editing high-quality SEO content with a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals. The focus is on building scalable content production workflows that effectively drive high-quality organic traffic to the platform.
• Freelancer Management & Quality Control
Establish and continuously optimise the freelancer management framework, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and task allocation for external writers. Develop content SOPs and review standards to ensure all content complies with SEO best practices and reflects authentic Hong Kong local tone. Maintain strict quality control and ensure timely content delivery.
• Data-driven Performance & Conversion Optimisation
Adopt a sales-driven mindset by tracking and analysing content performance. Core KPIs include traffic, GMV, conversion rate, and other relevant sales metrics. Able to interpret data insights and adjust content strategies accordingly to optimise conversion paths and commercial impact.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Product Marketing team to plan content around key itineraries and strategic products. Integrate blog content with brand and campaign initiatives to increase user engagement and maximise order conversion.
• Hong Kong Market Analysis
Focus on the Hong Kong market by monitoring local travel media, social media trends, and competitor movements. Identify popular topics and successful SEO cases in the market, and translate insights into actionable content strategies for the KKday Hong Kong Blog.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
• Relevant Experience
At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in SEO content editing or writing, with a strong understanding of the Hong Kong digital media landscape. Experience writing for Hong Kong lifestyle or travel media platforms such as ULifestyle or PressLogic is highly preferred, with a strong command of Traditional Chinese and local Hong Kong expressions. Experience in e-commerce or OTA industries is a strong advantage.
• Professional Skills
Strong foundation in digital marketing with the ability to plan keyword strategies and accurately interpret search intent. Proficient in data analytics tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4, with the ability to translate insights into concrete content optimisation actions.
• Core Competencies
Excellent writing and logical thinking skills, with the ability to maintain content quality in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of leading initiatives and collaborating across teams to achieve sales-driven objectives.
• Education Background
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
