Required Technical Skills
We are looking for two level of seniority:
Consultants: with at least 8 years of experience on SAP and HANA basis administration.
Senior consultants: with at least 15 years of experience on SAP and HANA basis administration.
The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:
• Working experience with latest versions of the following products:
ECC, BO, BI, PI, Portal, Solman, SLT, SRM, CRM, Fiori, TM, EM, GRC, Redwood, IDM, HANA, NWDI and Java administration. 4+ years of experience with Oracle database administration; 2+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems administration
• Required working experience on SAP HANA and HANA enterprise DB, and related High Availability setup, configurations, and maintenance
• Good understanding of SAP Security
• Must have a good understanding of network concepts
• Nice to have: SAP certifications on administrations on components like – ECC, Netweaver, Solution Manager, Portal, HANA, SCM, SRM
• Working experience with DB export/import technique and homogeneous/heterogeneous system copy
• Experience in global SAP implementation programs a plus
• Able to understand and operate within complex technical environments
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Scope of Work/Duties:
• Install and support SAP applications (ECC, BI, SCM, Solution Manager, Portal, PI, etc.), including patches, upgrades, and production support.
• Administer HANA, including setting up and managing high availability and replica nodes.
• Perform daily administration tasks and support.
• Improve Oracle/HANA database performance for SAP systems.
• Collaborate with OS and infrastructure teams for SAP system tuning.
• Assist in SAP application sizing and component setup.
• Perform system copies, installations, table reorganizations, and general maintenance.
• Manage transport tasks and maintain documentation.
• Configure and monitor backup solutions and jobs.
• Perform backups and restores as needed.
• Tune SAP systems for optimal performance.
• Administer SAP security, including role creation and user management.
• Troubleshoot, manage incidents, and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with SAP on product-related issues and special actions.
• Propose and maintain SAP Netweaver/Basis standards and procedures.
• Update and document Standard Operating Procedures.
• Share knowledge with the SAP Netweaver/Basis team.
• Provide technical guidance to SAP development teams.
• Analyze data access and integration needs for SAP databases.
• Adhere to change management/transport procedures.
• Suggest strategies for smooth knowledge transfer from previous team
Soft skills:
• Customer facing experience and oral communication skills
• Ability to write documentation & reports
• Creativity/ ability to find innovative solutions
• Willingness to learn on the job
• Conflict management & cooperation
Desirable certifications:
• Relevant SAP, Oracle, and HANA certifications
