Test Engineer

Responsibilities
• Design and execute test plans, cases, and checklists covering financial payment scenarios to ensure fund security, functional compliance, and system stability.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on APPs, web applications, microservices, and core payment modules; lead end-to-end payment testing (including transaction initiation, authentication, routing, clearing, and reconciliation).
• Collaborate with frontend/backend developers and product teams to define high‑risk test scenarios (e.g., fund loss, compliance issues, abnormal transactions).
• Implement APP/Web/API test automation, focusing on payment interfaces and fund flow; build and integrate automated test suites using frameworks/tools.
• Analyze defects in payment scenarios, create precise bug reports, and track issues such as fund loss and transaction anomalies until resolution.
• Monitor payment system performance and stability; participate in reproducing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of production payment incidents.
• Participate in code and payment process reviews; optimize QA processes and financial testing standards to improve coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of testing experience with solid knowledge of testing methods and types; familiar with testing standards in the financial payment domain.
• Experience in financial industry testing (especially payment business); familiar with end‑to‑end payment workflows (e.g., acquiring, refund, transfer, clearing, reconciliation) and risk points.
• Experience testing APPs, web applications, APIs, and microservices; able to independently conduct functional and performance testing of payment interfaces.

Technical Skills
• Tools & Tech Stack:
• Proficient in RobotFramework or similar tools for payment API testing; able to design complex cases covering abnormal transaction scenarios.
• Skilled in defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira); able to accurately record business impact of payment defects.
• Familiar with version control tools (Git); able to manage test code and cases collaboratively.
• Automation Testing:
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright, RobotFramework, PyTest, or similar frameworks; payment interface/end‑to‑end automation experience preferred.
• Capable of independently building automation frameworks for payment scenarios, integrating external libraries, and covering transaction flows, retries, and fund‑loss validation.

Preferred Qualifications
• Performance testing experience (JMeter, Locust); able to conduct stress tests for peak payment scenarios.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); able to deploy testing components in containerized environments.
• Experience in card acquiring or clearing system testing; knowledge of PCI DSS compliance testing requirements.

Payment Domain Expertise
• End‑to‑end payment testing experience covering transaction initiation, authentication, routing, clearing, reconciliation, and refund.
• Understanding of compliance requirements in financial payments (e.g., AML, payment security standards); able to integrate compliance checks into testing.
• Ability to identify high‑risk payment scenarios (e.g., duplicate charges, fund loss, inconsistent transaction states) and design targeted test cases.

Soft Skills
• Detail‑oriented and quality‑driven mindset with strong sensitivity to fund security in payment scenarios.
• Analytical thinking; able to quickly locate bottlenecks and anomalies in payment workflows and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate efficiently across departments to resolve payment business issues.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies; able to quickly master new payment business models and systems.
