Site reliability engineer - global market maker - hk / sg / sy

My client is a global market maker with expertise across a range of asset classes. They have differentiated themselves from the market by exceptional talent, industry-leading analytics and scalable, robust systems. This role can be based in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Sydney. Skills and Preferred Qualifications First line support and root cause problem diagnosis within a real‑time, distributed environment. Trading desk support experience and knowledge of trading systems and applications. Large‑scale application and infrastructure capacity planning and deployment. Organising application migrations and infrastructure upgrades. Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux command line. Understanding of operating system performance tuning. Good understanding of the usage of TCP/IP and UDP networking in applications. Good understanding of network routing and troubleshooting. Good experience in writing SQL database queries. Good experience in Bash, Python or other scripting language. Behavioral Requirements Clear ability to collaborate with multiple colleagues and lead brainstorming and other live troubleshooting sessions. Good verbal communication skills with a self‑driven, inquisitive attitude to problem‑solving. Clear ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Genuine curiosity in technology and staying abreast of current technology trends.
