Role Summary  

The Junior Business Analyst supports Riverchain’s tech and product teams by translating business and operational needs into clear, structured requirements for system development. This role works closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Operations to support the delivery of internal platforms and client-facing systems such as workflow engines, data portals, and reporting tools. 

This is an entry-level role designed for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how fintech systems are built and scaled.

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to support Riverchain’s Product Technology team. This role assists in translating business and operational needs into clear, structured requirements for system development.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams — including Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Operations — to support the delivery of internal platforms and client-facing systems such as workflow engines, data portals, and reporting tools.

This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who are curious about how fintech systems are built, integrated, and scaled. It offers a strong foundation for growth into a full Business Analyst role within Riverchain’s technology team.

Key Responsibilities  

Business & Requirement Support  
• Assist in gathering and documenting requirements across Riverchain’s internal and external platforms (e.g. case workflows, dashboards, internal tools) 
• Support Product Managers in translating business needs into: 

- User stories 

- Functional requirements 

- Acceptance criteria 
• Document process flows across end-to-end stages such as origination, review, approval, disbursement

Product & Delivery Support  
• Collaborate with UX/UI Designers and Software Engineers to clarify requirements and edge cases 
• Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and task management activities 
• Track requirement changes and maintain documentation accuracy throughout the delivery cycle

UAT & Quality Support  
• Assist in preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 
• Validate delivered features against acceptance criteria 
• Log, track, and help triage defects and change requests to ensure timely resolution

Process & Data Understanding  
• Work with business units to analyze existing workflows and identify inefficiencies, risks, or process gaps 
• Support basic data validation, reporting checks, and dashboard verification 
• Assist in capturing user feedback post-release to support continuous product and process improvement 

Requirements

Education & Background  
• Diploma or above in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related disciplines 
• Candidates with up to 1–2 years of relevant experience are welcome 

Core Skills  
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability 
• Clear written and verbal communication, fluent in spoken and written English
• Comfortable working with structured documentation and processes 
• High attention to detail and a disciplined, organized approach 

Technical Tools & Preferred Knowledge 
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Figma, Excel / Google Sheets 
• Basic understanding of Agile / Scrum concepts 
• Exposure to process flows, wireframes, or workflow-based systems is an advantage
