The Job
• Report to IT Associate Director, Data Platform & Business Intelligence
• Establish and govern the technical standard and frameworks for the cloud data platform
• Provide technical guidance to data engineers and data analysis in the technologies being accessed and used
• Manage external vendors and lead a small team to successfully deliver key initiatives
• Coordinate with the IT team on infrastructure setup and integration
• Collaborate with business units to streamline system development processes
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate emerging technologies and architectural designs for the data platform
• Develop, propose, evaluate and implement the enterprise data roadmaps aligned with Cloud architecture strategies
• Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance tools and processes for the data platform
• Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
The Person
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent, minimum 6 years of experience in data platform and big data environment
• Strong knowledge of Azure services and infrastructure, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Hands-on experience in managing Azure Data Platform, including real-time data ingestion and processing using spark streaming pipelines with Confluent
• Familiar with data management best practices and CI/CD methodologies
• Experience in Agile Scrum project environments
• Knowledge of Data Governance tools (e.g. Informatica) and related processes
• Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users and vendors
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work under pressure
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player
