Senior Virtualization Infrastructure Engineer
Job Purpose: Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of bank's virtualization infrastructure (VMware & KVM), including day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and technology enhancements across VMware ESXi/vCenter, SRM, KVM platforms, storage, and backup systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer & optimize VMware ESXi/vCenter, SRM, and KVM platforms (e.g., Sangfor HCI, H3C CAS)
• Leverage SRM for automated server failover/recovery to secondary data center
• Resource allocation, performance tuning, capacity planning, upgrades & patching
• Manage Windows Server, AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Sites & Services, Group Policy
• Implement CIS benchmarks hardening, privileged access controls, SCCM patching/deployment
• Configure NetBackup/Cohesity backup policies, conduct DR drills, ensure RPO/RTO compliance
• System performance monitoring, annual capacity planning reports
Governance & Projects
• Maintain audit documentation, conduct Security Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Lead virtualization upgrades, migrations, system refresh projects with vendors
Requirements
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field
• 5-7 years hands‑on VMware, KVM, storage infrastructure experience (banking preferred)
