Platform Engineer (12-Month Contract)

Our client, a leading financial organization, is undergoing a significant transformation of its business and IT infrastructure through a multi-year digitalization initiative. They are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team. The Site Reliability Engineer will focus on maintaining and enhancing the reliability of enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on financial services applications and Atlassian tools. This role involves proactive system monitoring, incident response, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams. The position is offered as an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for renewal based on performance.

Responsibilities of the Role:
• Design, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence environments.
• Provide day-to-day support for production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy updates, patches, and configurations using CI/CD tools and processes.
• Support end-users by responding to service requests, providing training, and documenting procedures.
• Contribute to the development and automation of support scripts and tools to enhance efficiency.

Requirements of the Role:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in system support, administration, or a similar IT role.
• Strong knowledge in DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), networking, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
