System Administrator (Network, Server & Information Security Support), Information Technology Services Centre (Ref.: 26/11/ITSC/SA)
Duties:
The appointee will be responsible for (i) assisting with computer operations support; (ii) configuring, deploying, administering, and upgrading servers and network; (iii) assisting the supervisor with security monitoring on server and network services; (iv) assisting in implementing and maintaining security measures, policies, and procedures to safeguard the institute's information systems; and (v) performing system administration support tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Appointment Criteria:
Applicants should: (i) hold a recognized Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines; (ii) have at least 3 years of relevant work experience; (iii) possess experience in deployment and configuration, with exposure to administering MS Windows, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls; (iv) demonstrate a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response; (v) have experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/ prevention systems, and antivirus solutions; (vi) hold relevant certifications, such as ISO 27001, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP; (vii) demonstrate excellent analytical skills; and (viii) be proactive, a strong team player, and capable of working independently, with the ability to compile documentation and a strong sense of accountability.
Candidates with more relevant experience would be considered as Senior System Administrator.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
