Reporting to the global Social Media Lead and dotted line to Head of Asia, the Social Media Manager Asia-Pacific will be the driving force behind how the Company/Brand is seen, trusted, and remembered across one of the most dynamic regions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, localize, and publish social media content tailored to major Asian platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu/Douyin, LINE, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Adapt global assets for Asian markets with high sensitivity to cultural nuances, clinical expectations, and local trends.
• Translate complex medical concepts into accessible, visually compelling content (videos, reels, carousels, infographics, short-form storytelling).
• Create digital ads when needed, developed in close alignment with the Global Social Media Lead and the Global Ads Manager, ensuring full consistency with the Company’s global brand strategy.
• Design and execute tailored strategies for Asia in close alignment with the Global Social Media Lead and the Ads Manager in alignment with the Company’s global brand strategy.
• Understand platform regulations, censorship limitations, posting restrictions, and best-practice engagement methods in each country.
• Build unified brand presence while adapting to distributor structures and local market realities.
• Transform events into high-visibility digital moments that drive brand awareness, surgeon recognition, and portfolio differentiation.
• Educate and support distributors on the brand’s identity, voice, and visual guidelines.
• Provide digital toolkits, templates, and content calendars for distributor partners.
• Build and manage a regional network of Asia-based freelance content creators, editors, and designers for fast-turnaround production.
• Ensure 24/7 digital agility through time-zone balanced content workflows.
• Coordinate revisions, approvals, and cross-market distribution with Global Social Media Lead.
• Track KPIs: engagement, reach, sentiment, follower growth, content performance by market.
• Generate region-specific insights to guide next content cycles.
• Monitor digital competitor activity and emerging social trends.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or online communications.
• Strong familiarity with Asian digital ecosystems and platform-specific best practices across Asia.
• Hands-on experience with short-form video content, editing apps, storytelling formats, and platform-native design.
• Familiarized with social media management and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Metricool, Hootsuite), content creation and design platforms (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, CapCut, Adobe Premier Pro), and collaboration tools (Notion, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to translate medical or technical subject matter into highly engaging content, adapting global campaigns to local markets.
• Experience working with freelancers, agencies, or decentralized creative networks. Experience with influencer marketing is a plus.
• Comfortable working remotely and navigating a fast-paced, multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of brand governance, visual consistency, and digital brand protection.
• Creative, curious, and highly culturally aware
• Confident and energetic when attending events and interacting with surgeons
• Hands-on, proactive, and fast-moving and able to balance creativity with discipline, brand consistency, and confidentiality
• Strong communicator who can collaborate across global and regional teams
• Self-driven, reliable, and comfortable operating independently in a remote setup
• Fluent in English, with professional proficiency in Mandarin or another major Asian language strongly preferred.
