Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead market expansion and revenue growth for our EV charging and smart carpark solutions. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, developing market entry strategies, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders. You will create and qualify high-value pipelines, collaborate on solution positioning, and support the transition to sales execution—contributing to our leadership in the booming EV infrastructure and smart parking sectors in Hong Kong and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and prioritize new market opportunities, segments, and verticals (e.g., residential/commercial developments, government tenders, corporate fleets, hotels, retail malls, public carparks, and smart city projects).

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market planning for EV charging + integrated carpark solutions.

  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as property developers, real estate groups, utilities, EV manufacturers/OEMs, system integrators, government bodies, and industry associations.

  • Generate and qualify high-potential leads through networking, industry events, referrals, targeted outreach, and inbound inquiries.

  • Lead early-stage opportunity development: conduct market needs assessments, present value propositions, explore pilot projects, and collaborate with technical/sales teams on customized solution concepts.

  • Prepare compelling business cases, proposals, and presentations highlighting ROI, sustainability benefits, compliance (e.g., Hong Kong EV incentives, electrical codes, OCPP standards), and integration advantages (EV charging with smart parking, energy optimization).

  • Negotiate strategic agreements, MOUs, framework contracts, and partnerships to secure long-term commitments and recurring revenue streams.

  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, subsidies, and emerging technologies in EV charging, smart parking, renewable integration, and smart cities to inform strategy and positioning.

  • Provide accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity reporting, and strategic insights to senior leadership using CRM and analytics tools.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance visibility and generate leads.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, project, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless hand-over of qualified opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred), Marketing, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree advantageous).

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, partnership development, or related roles in EV charging, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, parking management systems, IoT/smart city solutions, or B2B/B2C technical sectors.

  • Proven track record of originating and closing high-value deals, partnerships, or projects in a consultative, strategic environment.

  • Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, smart parking systems, energy management, and integration trends (e.g., OCPP, IoT sensors, dynamic pricing).

  • Excellent networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders (C-level, developers, government officials).

  • Fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin highly advantageous); strong presentation and business writing abilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office/Google Workspace, and market analysis tools.

  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.

  • Willingness to travel within Hong Kong and regionally for meetings, events, and site evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Hong Kong/Asia real estate, property development, utilities, or government-related projects.

  • Knowledge of Hong Kong EV policies, building codes, subsidies, smart city initiatives, and permitting processes.

  • Existing network in property, automotive, energy, or infrastructure sectors.

  • Background in integrated solutions (EV charging + parking/energy optimization/solar).
