Junior Java Developer / Business Analyst Trainee

Key Responsibilities
• Act as an intermediary between business stakeholders and the IT division, concentrating on analyzing and implementing technological solutions that address the needs of the securities, brokerage, and wealth management sectors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document requirements related to securities and brokerage activities. Identify chances for process optimization and system improvements.
• Conduct evaluations to compare current and future business processes and technological solutions.
• Create comprehensive functional specifications, user stories, and use cases that align with the organization’s objectives.
• Work alongside development managers and the tech team to design and assess technical solutions that fulfill business needs.
• Engage in project planning and management, including tracking progress and updating stakeholders on project status.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are fulfilled and provide training and support for new systems and processes.
• Develop user manuals and documentation as necessary.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields. A master’s degree or relevant certification is an advantage.
• Prior work experience is not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Java development and familiarity with one or more Java frameworks.
• Solid understanding of securities trading, brokerage processes, funds, bonds, structured products, and financial regulations.
• Expertise in techniques for requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A team-oriented individual capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
• Proficient in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
