Our client is a premier global investment bank currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Algo Support Analyst to join their electronic trading team.
In this critical front-office role, you will provide L2/L3 support to traders, quants, and external clients, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of the firm’s algorithmic trading platforms across global markets.
This is a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in maintaining low-latency operations, resolving complex technical issues, and supporting continuous platform enhancements and upgrades to meet evolving trading demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert L2/L3 support for algorithmic trading platforms, ensuring stable, low-latency operations and timely resolution of user and system issues
• Continuously monitor platform health, performance, and connectivity, proactively identifying and mitigating risks before they impact trading
• Own the incident lifecycle by leading root cause analysis, documenting findings, and partnering with engineering teams to implement permanent solutions
• Support release, upgrade, and change activities in close coordination with development and infrastructure teams to minimise trading disruption
• Act as the technical liaison between trading desks, quants, developers, and support teams, providing hands-on system support where needed
• Support QA, UAT, and production readiness for new features and enhancements to ensure alignment with business requirements
• Maintain and enhance operational documentation, including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and procedures
• Participate in on-call and onsite support rotations, including coverage during non-standard trading hours as required
Role Requirements:
• 8–10 years’ experience in front-office trading application support (equities preferred)
• Strong Linux/Unix and SQL skills (Oracle or similar)
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or Perl) for automation
• Exposure to FIX protocol, trading systems, and monitoring tools (Geneos, Grafana)
• Strong communication skills; Mandarin/Cantonese a plus
