The Position
Title: Project Manager, Information Technology - PM
Report to: Senior Manager, IT
Location: Hong Kong
The job holder of this role shall be strong in analytical and logical skills; s/he shall possess strong technical knowhow and project leadership to deliver quality projects, grow the team’s technical capabilities, and strive to become one of the regional hubs for modern information technology.
The successful candidate for this high-profile technical role is expected to actively lead critical IT projects and leverage cross-team capabilities; and will collaborate with different operating and departmental entities from time to time in Hong Kong.
Major Operational Duties & Responsibilities
To plan and control all phases of computer projects including feasibility study, system analysis and design, procurement and installation of computer systems, programming, implementation, system nursing and maintenance;
To provide technical consultancy services on operating systems, data communication, database, application software and languages;
To manage the operation of computer centre and data preparation installations;
To evaluate and select appropriate computer products for the development and maintenance of computer systems;
To monitor the performance of his/her subordinates.
Education Qualifications
At least 2 years relevant post-qualification experience in computing field; and
Bachelor Degree：
Awarded in Hong Kong, UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia,or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, or
Accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma other than Information Technology, or
Diploma from a Hong Kong or overseas duly registered tertiary education institute, or
Level 3 or above in five subjects, incl.English, in HKDSEE, or overseas equivalent, or
Grade E or above in two subjects in HKALE; and Level 3 or above in other three subjects, including English (Syl. B), in HKCEE, or overseas equivalent.
Position Qualifications
At least 8 years post-qualification information technology experience
At least 2 years must in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
Proficient in one or more of the following fields:
Project management.
Feasibility/technical studies.
Systems analysis and design.
Application programming.
Operations management.
Systems programming.
Specialized technical support.
Experience in project management or technical consultancy.
Experience in supervising a team of two (2) members or more.
Fluency in spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua and in written English and Chinese.
Preferred Certification
To possess experience and/or obtain relevant certification in:
Project Management.
Systems Development/ Support.
PRINCE, FPA, SSADM, RAD and OOAD.
