Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the R&D and engineering team to design and develop an advanced surgical robotic system.
Provide technical support during field trials, troubleshoot issues, and promptly rectify technical faults related to the product and its applications.
Develop and implement testing tools and procedures for product evaluation.
Assist in the regulatory approval processes, particularly in areas such as EMC and safety.
Support clinical trials to obtain regulatory approval.
Oversee the entire product development process, including design, tooling, production, material selection, and comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
Hold a BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computing, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. An MSc or PhD would be advantageous.
Possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the field of surgical instruments.
Have experience in designing surgical instruments for minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
Familiarity with CNC machining, metal injection modeling, or other methods used in the production of surgical instruments, as well as the ability to liaise with suppliers for instrument manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO13485 quality system and ISO62304 is beneficial.
Ability to work well under pressure, self-motivated, and a team player with effective communication, time management, and leadership skills.
