About the Role
As our first Hong Kong based UI/UX Designer at Wristcheck, you’ll be pivotal in shaping the digital experience of our marketplace on web and app to help our customers discover, learn and delight in watch collecting. You’ll need to iterate on ideas quickly, research, test, experiment and ensure the final product reflects your design vision. You have an acute creative eye and you’re not afraid to try new ideas out, fail and iterate quickly. In partnership with our Director of Product, you’ll help us create a world-class marketplace and change the watch space for the better! This is a high impact role in a fast growing startup. We are open to candidates with less experience, but who are truly excited about what we do.
Location: Hong Kong (onsite)
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the user experience design process from concept to implementation, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with business goals and user needs.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Define and communicate the overall UX vision and strategy, championing user-centric design principles throughout the organization.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design specifications to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
Guide, manage, and mentor junior designers working remotely, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous learning.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design, and apply them to enhance Wristcheck's products.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure the successful implementation of designs, addressing any technical constraints and advocating for the best user experience.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling visual assets and branding materials that align with the overall user experience.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a UX Lead or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful user-centered design solutions.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Solid understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and user-centered design principles.
Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on user experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
People management or mentorship experience is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform design decisions.
Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
