Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between our business units (Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Operations) and the IT organization. The role is critical in driving the bank’s digital transformation agenda, enhancing customer experience, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Capture, analyze, and prioritize business demands and projects. Manage the IT demand pipeline and ensure alignment with the bank's strategic plan, prioritization and budget.
Lead the collaborative definition of requirements and coordinate with IT delivery teams (in-house and vendors) to design, develop, and implement effective technology solutions.
Directly lead, coach, and mobilize cross-functional technology teams (e.g. Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers) and vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Collaborate with Architects, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure solutions are robust, secure, and adhere to HKMA regulatory requirements (e.g., cybersecurity, data protection).
Lead and oversee a portfolio of projects including digital channel development (e.g. mobile banking, e-banking), banking products system implementations, process re-engineering and operational efficiency programs.
Act as a key leader in major transformation programs such as major system replacements or key business partnership integrations.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies (e.g., FinTech, API banking, AI), assessing their potential application to the bank’s product and services.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. Master’s degree is preferable.
10 years or above proven experience in the financial services sector, with strategic IT Business Partnering directly supporting Retail Banking and Corporate Banking Section is preferable. Candidate with more IT managerial experience will be considered for team lead position.
Has extensive experience working within or partnering with major Hong Kong Bank or Mainland Group. Familiar with the local regulatory landscape (HKMA) is essential.
Proven track record in leading end-to-end digital project delivery, specific hands-on experience such as Mobile Banking Applications.
Strong understanding of technology integration, enterprise architecture principles, and software development lifecycles (both Waterfall and Agile); Open API partnerships, and core banking system implementations/enhancements or Cloud-based applications.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with a demonstrable history of building trusted relationships with senior business management levels to influence strategy.
Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar certifications are highly preferable.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as fluent in Putonghua.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as non-managerial positions
