Remittances Manager, Payment Operations - Banking

Our client is a rapidly growing bank seeking a high-calibre candidate to lead payment processing and operations.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee local and global remittance and payment processing via FPS, RTGS, and SWIFT.
• Manage dispute resolution processes, including chargebacks, to ensure timely and equitable outcomes for all parties.
• Monitor transaction activities to swiftly identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance transaction processes and boost customer satisfaction.
• Maintain comprehensive records of transactions, disputes, and chargebacks for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Analyze and optimize payment workflows and supervise payment screening and reconciliation activities to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational guidelines, ensuring daily activities comply with regulations.
• Participate in ISO 20022 projects to enhance payment processes and identify system improvements.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in payment operations within the banking industry, including managerial experience.
• Strong understanding of payment systems such as FPS, RTGS, SWIFT, and chargeback processes.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and payment processing software.
• Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
